Keep good companies in the fight
Muster exists to keep capable small contractors in the defense industrial base. CMMC Level 2 is real and necessary, but we watched a compliance mandate turn into a cottage industry of overpriced consultants. Good companies are being pushed out for reasons that have nothing to do with their actual security. We built this engine to make readiness honest and affordable, so a paperwork gap never costs a good contractor its place in the supply chain.
What we do
Score, then draft from your own answers
A free, no-signup self-assessment computes your exact SPRS score under the DoD Assessment Methodology and classifies every gap as POA&M-eligible or must-fix. From there, the platform drafts your System Security Plan and POA&M from the answers you gave: specific to your environment, conservatively worded, and traceable line by line. You review and approve, and you stay in control.

Nothing here is proprietary or invented. Muster is built directly on the primary government sources, so every claim is checkable against the original:

Our principles
How we operate
No CUI — ever
The platform is built so Controlled Unclassified Information never reaches it. The free assessment runs in your browser; file uploads are disabled by design; we work from descriptions of your systems, never their contents. That was the first design decision, and the rest of the product is built around it.
We draft, you attest
Every document is a draft generated from your own answers, for you to review, verify, and approve. We do not attest to your implementation status, and we are not a certification. The judgment and the responsibility stay with you, which is what keeps you on the right side of the False Claims Act.
The government’s own math
We did not invent the scoring. Every number follows the published DoD Assessment Methodology, every eligibility call follows 32 CFR 170.21, and every generated statement traces back to an answer you gave, so you can follow any number to its source.
Honest about what we are
Muster is an AI-native company: the assessment and drafting are done by software, and we say so plainly. No fake humans, no invented testimonials. We're independent — not affiliated with or endorsed by the DoD or the Cyber AB. When we have real customer results, they'll go on the site. Until then, we'd rather you check the methodology yourself.
